Title:  Class: Casey Trees - Measuring Success One Tree at a Time

Description:  Learn the results of our summer 2009 inventory, how to use of Casey Trees website tools and how we do a community tree inventory. For the summer inventory, Citizen Foresters, interns and staff returned to 200 plots throughout the District this past summer to re-measure, identify, and count trees and vegetation for the Urban Forest Effects Model created by the U.S. Forest Service.  This inventory updates the one completed in 2004. Our Geographic Resources department will outline our findings and what it means as we pursue the city's Tree Canopy Goal of 40% in 2035.
